Reports investigation of improvements in concept formation resulting from use of supplementary student materials with televised junior high general science instruction. Three types of materials-participation, redundant, and new-were used with 896 students in public and parochial Indiana schools. Concept improvement at the knowledge level was greatest among middle ability groups using both participant and redundant forms of the materials. (JM)
