The results indicate that a procedure of desensitization can be implemented successfully in a typical public-school setting and that it would reduce significantly anxiety related to giving talks in front of class. Also revealed is that an informal and relaxed procedure that involved practice with the anxiety-related activity is equally effective. (Author)
