Since the results of this study indicated that students rated high in strength of achievement motivation were superior to students rated low in strength of achievement motivation in both diagnostic problem solving performance and diagnostic problem solving knowledge, the factor, achievement motivation is judged to be predictive of diagnostic problen solving effectiveness.
