Personality Differences Between College Counselees and Noncounselees: A Review of the Literature
DeBlassie, Richard R.
Journal of the National Association of Women Deans and Counselors, 34, 2, 88-94, Win '71
A review of the literature indicates the following differential personality characteristics between clients and nonclients: (1) nonclients are generally better adjusted, have less anxiety, procrastinate less and have higher ego strengths than clients; and (2) clients can be characterized by lesser achievement, order, dominance, introversion, and more general anxiety, depression, and vocational insecurity.
