Conclusions are: (1) school superintendents of many school districts feel that the public schools should be responsibile for educating students about sex; (2) teacher education institutions should begin offering training in sex education; (3) the majority of superintendents feel that sex education classes should not be coeducational and (4) superintendents feel that teachers, administrators, local citizens, clergy, and students should be involved when planning courses in sex education.
