Financial Aid Professionals at Work in 1999-2000: Results from the 2001 Survey of Undergraduate Financial Aid Policies, Practices, and Procedures
College Entrance Examination Board
This report first describes the aid application procedures aid administrators used to determine award eligibility, and the use of professional judgment to adjust students' aid application data. Next, the report describes the number of students who received financial aid, the funding and distribution of institutional scholarships, and student loan borrowing and cumulative debt. The study then shows the percentage of aid applicants who had financial need and the proportion of need met by total financial aid. The final section of the report describes the salary by type of institution, and technology used by aid offices to process applications. The following are appended: (1) Undergraduate Admissions Selectivity Definitions; and (2) 2001 Survey of Undergraduate Financial Aid Policies, Practices, and Procedures (SUFAPPP).
