The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who agree to teach for four years at an elementary school, secondary school, or educational service agency that serves students from low-income families and to meet other requirements. This brief report discusses the TEACH Grant Program: (1) What is the TEACH Grant Program?; (2) What are the eligibility requirements?; (3) What is a TEACH-Grant-eligible program?; (4) What is the TEACH Grant Agreement to serve?; (5) What are the terms and conditions of the TEACH Grant service obligation?; (6) What are high-need-fields?; (7) How can schools or educational service agencies that serve low-income students be identified?; (8) Can a TEACH Grant service obligation ever be suspended or canceled?; and (9) If interested in receiving a TEACH Grant, where can more information be found?
