The transition from high school to college is an important milestone, but it is only one of many steps in the journey through higher education. This volume is an annotated bibliography of the emerging literature examining the many other transitions students make beyond the first year, including the sophomore year, the transfer experience, and the senior year and transition out of college. The book also offers a special focus on adult learners, student veterans, and those studying in different cultures. Following a foreword and introduction, this annotated bibliography is organized into the following chapters: (1) The Sophomore-Year Transition; (2) The Transfer Transition; (3) The Senior Year and Transition Out of College; and (4) Special Populations of Students in Transition. A list of references, an index, acknowledgments, and a section about the authors is included.
