Students of Different Minds: Bridging the Gaps of International Students Studying in the US

International students have constituted a growing population in American higher education in the past few decades. This study presented a case study of six international students' academic, cultural and social experiences during their stay in the US. Data obtained through interviews and the results of content analysis indicate that international students face significant financial, academic, psychological and emotional challenges coping with American academic, professional and social life. Bridging the cultural gaps between schools and international students is recommended for international students to succeed in build a community of learners. (Contains 1 table and 1 figure.)
