The Effects of the Interactive Student Notebook on Fifth Grade Math and Science Achievement
Green, Timothy
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Trevecca Nazarene College
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of using the interactive student notebook versus the use of traditional note-taking methods on math and science achievement for fifth grade students. The researcher hypothesized that the ISN would have a significant positive impact on math and science student achievement. Multiple regression and ANCOVA were used to explore the relationship between the following variables: using the interactive notebook, male and female usage of the interactive student notebook, and males who used the interactive student notebook versus those males who did not use the interactive student notebook. After careful analysis of the data, the ISN did not have a statistical significant impact on student achievement.
