Major Obstacles Limiting the Development of Bilingual Education in Chinese College

Bilingual education is introduced in many Chinese colleges today. A number of studies on bilingual education have been done, but few has significant outcome. From a completely new perspective, the author suggests that there are several major obstacles limiting the development of the new trend, i.e., the limited competent faculty, limited appropriate course materials and limited secondary language proficiency students. Recommendations are given to the problems identified.
