The purpose of the study was to define global competition and to examine its impact upon the counseling profession based upon a case study. Students in a counseling ethics class were asked to research the topic of global competition as related to the field of counseling and develop a case study. Their findings produced very few articles related to the subject. They urged counselors to engage in a dialogue to explore the outcomes of globalization at local, regional, national and international meetings since the efforts toward globalization may be impacted by the various counseling laws and requirements.
