The purpose of Adult Basic Education (ABE) articulation is to ensure learners have access to quality courses, receive appropriate credits and are able to transfer easily among publicly-funded colleges, university colleges, universities and institutes in British Columbia. Articulation also involves liaison with the school system's ABE programs to facilitate transfer of students back and forth between school district and college ABE programs. This handbook provides: (1) The adult basic education program framework used in the British Columbia (BC) post-secondary education system; (2) Core course outlines; (3) Transfer guides for courses across BC post-secondary institutions; and (4) Information about the British Columbia adult graduation diploma.
