National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) long-term trend assessments in reading and mathematics were administered throughout the nation in the 2003-2004 school year to students aged 9, 13, and 17. This document represents the background questionnaire (pages 10-14 of the assessment) that was given to students taking the 2004 long-term trend assessment. The questionnaire information is designed to provide NAEP staff with information on student demographic characteristics, classroom experiences, and educational support.
