Dynamic Dyads: Sharing and Creating Knowledge
Paul, Sophie T.; Wang, Jia
Online Submission, Paper presented at the Academy of Human Resource Development International Research Conference in The Americas (Indianapolis, IN, Feb 28-Mar 4, 2007)
In today's competitive market, it is essential to maximize employees' efficiency through job structure and knowledge exchange. This phenomenological study explores the lived experience of sharing and creating knowledge in teams of two. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with four dyadic teams. Data analysis revealed four major themes and eleven sub-themes. This paper focused on one, shared space, which provided the most insight into dyadic relationships. Implications for research and practice are also discussed. (Contains 1 table.)
