Nearly half of Florida's teachers earn degrees from the state university system (SUS): 30% in education and 19% in other fields. Another 12% of public school teachers are enrolled in non-degree or continuing education programs or teacher preparation programs in which the courses can be applied toward certification or a higher degree.
