A Professional Development Framework for E-Learning

The Learning and Skills Network (LSN) has carried forward the initial work of the Learning and Skills Development Agency (LSDA) and the Centre for Excellence in Leadership (CEL) to develop a professional development framework for e-learning: This publication shares the experiences of staff and their good practice as they used LSN's Framework as part of their continuing professional development in e-learning, eCPD. This publication is designed to give advisers and practitioners ideas and guidance on using eCPD to develop their e-learning skills and pedagogy through CPD either at the organisational or individual level. Appendices include: (1) Framework of e-learning competences; (2) Dual professional CPD model; (3) Mapping to LLUK (Lifelong Learning UK) professional standards; (4) Sample topic (E-learning: blended learning); and (5) LSN topics of e-learning and functional roles.
