Human resource development professionals are in a unique position to help organizations achieve maximum positive impact and avoid legal difficulties when implementing mentoring programs. This case study explored a formal mentoring program that was data-based and linked to HRD in order to advance the mentoring process as an effective individual and organizational tool. Study contributions and recommendations for human resource development are discussed, along with suggestions for future research. (Contains 2 figures.)
