Now in a thoroughly revised and updated second edition, this volume presents a variety of play approaches that facilitate children's healing in a shorter time frame. The second section, Family Play Therapy, contains the following chapters: (6) Short-Term Play Therapy for Adoptive Families: Facilitating Adjustment and Attachment with Filial Therapy (Rise VanFleet); (7) Involving and Empowering Parents in Short-Term Play Therapy for Disruptive Children (Cheryl B. Herschell); (8) Short-Term Family Sandplay Therapy (Lois Carey);and (9) Enhancing Play Therapy with Parent Consultation: A Behavioral/Solution-Focused Approach (Sandy Magnuson and Holly E. Shaw). The final section, Group Play Therapy, contains the following chapters: (10) A Creative Play Therapy Approach to the Group Treatment of Young Sexually Abused Children (Loretta Gallo-Lopez); (11) Group Sandtray Play Therapy (Linda B.
