The Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Distance Learning Policy Laboratory has established an ambitious action agenda that calls on college and university and state leaders to work toward results in four areas. These are (1) extend citizen and student access to infrastructure, programs, services, and training; (2) take advantage of regional resources that can be shared; (3) use state and institutional financing policies to support distance learning more effectively; and (4) provide more and better information for quality improvement and accountability. Some examples of action in each of these areas are described. (SLD)
