E-Counseling: The Willingness To Participate.
Harun, Lily Mastura Hj.
The advent of information and communication technology has opened a new era in the counseling profession. This study shares the views of computer literate respondents about their willingness to participate in e-counseling sessions. The results showed that the respondents are generally reserved about using e-counseling services and still insist that the physical presence of the counselor is important in the counseling process. The findings however do indicate that the e-counseling method is favorable to the needs of young people aged between 25 to 35 years old. Counselors are offered techniques for overcoming the apprehension of e-counseling consumers. (Contains 34 references.) (GCP)
