The participants manual contains overviews for each unit; required readings; activity sheets; review questions; cooperative teacher practicum summaries; practicum requirements; and evaluation forms. The courses six units address the following topics: (1) collaborative teamwork; (2) inclusive education; (3) families and cultural sensitivities; (4) characteristics of children and youth with various disabilities; (5) roles and responsibilities of paraeducators and other team members; and (6) paraeducators implementing teacher-planned instruction.
