Annual Report on the Condition of Connecticut's Public Schools, 2002.

This is the fourth annual report on the condition of Connecticut's public school facilities required pursuant to Section 10-220 of the Connecticut General Statutes. The data in this report reflect the responses of school district officials to various survey questions. Summary data are discussed in fairly broad categories--education reference groups (ERGs) and school types (elementary, middle, and high). Following a discussion of current construction activity and cost estimates, over 40 data elements gathered for each school are subdivided into the following groups: general building conditions, appearance and upkeep, building service systems, dedicated specialty areas, size and capacity, and local facility planning and maintenance. The report also offers a comparison to data from previous years. (EV)
