CBC serves more than 13,000 students annually and offers associate degrees in arts, science, and applied science. Report highlights include: (1) CBC's full-time faculty are 48% female and 52% male, while the part-time faculty are 61% female and 39% male; (2) full-time faculty are 1% African American, 4% Asian, 3% Hispanic, and 93% White; (3) part-time faculty are 3% African American, 3% Asian, 8% Hispanic, and 86% White; (4) nursing and computer science are among the most popular programs; (5) 24% of students in the 2000-01 academic year received financial aid, compared to 21.8% in the 1997-98 school year; (6) 61% of those receiving financial aid were female, 80% were White, and 35% were age 20-24; (7) the College employs 313 full-time and 580 part-time employees and has an institutional operating budget of $21,398,195; (8) total taxpayer investment in CBC during the 2001-02 school year will be $14,953,192; and (9) as a result of CBC's total tangible economic contribution to the community, $4.49 will be returned to the local economy for every dollar spent by taxpayers.
