Wisconsin Technical College System Board 2000-2001 Graduate Follow-Up Report.

This is a report on the 2001 graduate follow-up survey conducted annually by the Wisconsin Technical College System Board. The survey is administered to gather information on the activities, employment status, and perceptions of technical college students approximately six months after graduating. A total of 16,029 graduates were surveyed, with a resulting response rate of 76%. Results indicated that: (1) approximately 61% and 87% of the respondents were female and white, respectively; (2) most respondents were enrolled in health-related, business, or industrial service programs; (3) 32% of the respondents were in the age range of 20-24; (4) 44% of the respondents were attending college to prepare for employment; (5) 97% of the respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with their training; (6) 80% of the respondents were employed in jobs related to their college programs; (7) 74% of the respondents were employed in the technical college district where they were enrolled; and (8) the median annual salary for graduates was $26,388. The report includes specific statistics for every technical college program, and the appendix provides the survey instrument. (MKF)
