This document presents an assortment of statistical data about Maryland postsecondary education. The information is presented for a period of years so that trends can be highlighted. The Trend Book is organized into nine sections: (1) factors affecting enrollment, including college-going rates of high school seniors, their intended majors, their college admissions test scores, and their college performance; (2) enrollment trends by level, gender, race, residency, and program; (3) retention, transfer, and graduation patterns; (4) degrees and certificates awarded, with information by race and gender; (5) graduate outcomes in terms of employment and experience; (6) faculty and staff numbers and characteristics such as race and gender; (7) campus resources, with information about revenue and expenditures at Maryland public campuses; (8) trends in tuition and fees; and (9) student financial aid, including information about amounts, the percentage of students receiving aid, and funding for state scholarship programs.
