Brouwer), which examines the ways conversation analysis, a methodology for studying talk-interaction, can contribute both to understanding of the interactional aspects of listening in collaborative situations and to listening pedagogy; and "Developing Listening Tasks for Language Learning" (Michael Rost), presenting a pedagogical framework for listening instruction that includes both a set of principles for listening task design and strategy training and outlines five types of listening tasks focusing on specific listening strategies.
