Assessing Kindergarten Children: A Compendium of Assessment Instruments.

This compendium is designed to provide a quick overview of assessment instruments that can be used with kindergarten-aged children. It provides a starting point for gathering information on assessment instruments by giving information on approximately 40 instruments published since 1986 that are commercially available. Information on each instrument, such as the purpose, how it is administered, and where it can be purchased, provides a snapshot of the features that should be compared when choosing an instrument. Instruments are grouped assessments for these domains: (1) multiple; (2) social; and (3) literacy/language. (SLD)
