Essentials of WJ III[TM] Tests of Achievement Assessment. Essentials of Psychological Assessment Series.
Mather, Nancy; Wendling, Barbara J.; Woodcock, Richard W.
The widely used Woodcock Johnson (WJ) Test of Achievement has been separated into two distinct tests, Achievement and Cognitive Abilities. This book is designed to help busy mental health professionals acquire the knowledge and skills they need to use the third revision of the WJ Tests of Achievement (WJ III ACH) , including administration, scoring, and interpretation of the tests. The chapters are: (1) "Overview"; (2) "How To Administer the WJ III ACH"; (3) "How To Score the WJ III ACH"; (4) "How To Interpret the WJ III ACH"; (5) "Strengths and Weaknesses of the WJ III ACH"; (6) "Clinical Applications of the WJ III ACH"; and (7) "Illustrative Case Reports." Three appendixes discuss fine points of WJ III ACH administration and frequently asked questions about the WJ III ACH and provide a table for converting z-scores to percentile ranks or standard scores. An annotated bibliography lists seven sources for additional information. (Contains 4 figures, 23 tables, and 67 references.) (SLD)
