This is the nineteenth publication of a comprehensive data book by the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB). Sections focus on student characteristics, faculty and staff data, annual enrollment and completion data, financial data, and facilities data for the 48 community colleges in the system. Highlights for fall 2000 include: (1) 57% of students enrolled in Illinois public community colleges were women; (2) 40% of students were enrolled in baccalaureate/transfer programs; (3) the median age of students was 25 years; (4) total enrollment for all Illinois districts was 340,101; (5) 51,222 students were Hispanic, 47,237 Black, and 16,059 Asian; (6) 4,405 of faculty members were full time, while 4,485 were part time; (7) the average full-time faculty salary was $54,541; (8) the average administrator salary was $64,155; (9) average instructional unit cost was $187.34 in fiscal year 2000; (10) audited operating revenues totaled $1,126,856,591, 39% of which was from local sources, 26% from tuition and fees, and 27% from the state; (11) audited operating expenditures totaled $1,051,223,981; (12) total acreage was 7,926; and (13) total square footage was 21,835,933.
