Bridges to Student Success.
National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, Inc.
This publication of the National Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education presents members' achievements in developing exemplary programs in the year 2000. Seven programs were identified for their ability to enrich the educational experience of college students. The programs demonstrate the spirit of innovation and resourcefulness and address the toughest problems facing student affairs professionals today. Two of the programs help at-risk students; three help meet the needs of underrepresented students; one challenges students to become leaders; and the other encourages students to learn through experience. The common thread that identifies all the programs is teamwork. Each program requires that the students, administrators, and faculty work as a team to achieve success. The following college and university programs are represented: Allegheny College's Center for Experiential Learning; Northeastern Illinois University's Partners for Success; Portland State University's Leadership for Change; Rochester Institute of Technology's Student Behavior Consultation Team; Texas Tech University's TECHniques Center; Pima Community College and the University of Arizona's Achieving a College Education; and the University of Kansas' Medical Center Students Educating and Advocating for Diversity.
