The Florida Community College System fact book includes statistical information for fall 2000-2001 about students, employees, and finances at Florida's 28 community colleges. This document contains statistics on headcount enrollment, full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment, program enrollment, program completions, employment, and financial data. Report highlights include: (1) total headcount enrollment was 318,723--218,725 part time and 99,998 full time; (2) total minority headcount was 113,425--1,383 American Indian, 8,632 Asian, 49,163 Black, 54,247 Hispanic; (3) total system female enrollment was 189,740; (4) 208,068 students were enrolled in an associate of arts (AA) program; (5) of the 98,929 students enrolled in an associate of science (AS) degree or certificate program, 29% were in business and 24% in health; (6) in 1999-2000, 24,865 AA degrees, 9,100 AS degrees, and 10,492 certificates were awarded; (7) out of 38,569 employees, 19,056 (49%) were involved with instructional activities; (8) the average salary of full-time instructional personnel was $43,708 for two semesters and $50,357 for three; and (9) total general revenue in 2000-2001 was $740,145,123.
