The annual report provides demographic, employment, workload, and compensation information on California community college employees. It provides minimal analysis and is designed to provide reference information to persons at the state and district levels who use data on community college staffing for collective bargaining, accreditation reviews, effectiveness studies, and policy analysis. Data for this report were collected through the Chancellor's Office Management Information System from all 71 California community college districts and are presented by race and gender. The report is divided into seven sections. Section 1 provides general information for all categories of employees, including data on headcounts, full-time-equivalency (FTE), staffing levels by course disciplines/expenditure codes, and 5-year profiles of faculty headcounts and compensations. Section 2 covers full-time faculty, which includes employees with workloads greater than 60% FTE with classification of Contract, Regular, and Temporary. Section 3 offers information about teaching and nonteaching part-time faculty. Section 4 deals with academic administrators, which include certified executives, administrators, and mangers working full-time. Section 5 reports on classified administrators. Section 6 deals with classified professionals. The last section reports classified other, which includes full-time clerical/secretarial, technical/paraprofessional and plant service and maintenance employees hired under classified service.
