This curriculum unit on Mexican and Guatemalan archaeology is designed for students at a college preparatory high school who have taken a course in ancient and medieval history. The unit lists history and archaeology texts and teacher resources and is divided into the following sections: (1) geography assignment on Mexico and Guatemala; (2) definitions related to Mesoamerican archaeology; (3) information and questions about three videos (a general overview; a video on Teotihuacan; a video on Tikal); (4) questions for articles on Teotihuacan (Carlson, John B.
