This book gives teachers, librarians, parents, and others who work with children an annotated bibliography of children's books that contain characters who display positive family-oriented values in their relationships to others. Each chapter begins with a definition of a specific value, followed by a summary, sample activities and lessons for each book which will assist children in acting out the thoughts and feelings of selected characters to understand their own thoughts and actions.
