Reference Guide to Continuous Improvement Planning for Ohio School Districts.
This reference guide was created for district leaders and teams who are preparing for or engaging in planning for continuous improvement. It combines basic information about continuous-improvement planning with questions, examples, activities, and worksheets that can enrich planning by helping participants explore ideas, analyze data, and make decisions. It draws upon a number of external sources, as well as from some of the Ohio Department of Education's previous publications. It also makes use of what has been learned from visiting and interacting with educators in school districts across Ohio. Its purpose is to help school districts produce formal written plans that can become the basis for making effective planning an integral part of how they approach needs, problems, and opportunities. The guide is based on the assumption that a well-designed plan is the framework for a continuous process of gathering data, evaluating results, and making necessary changes. (Contains 13 references.)
