This packet contains both teacher and student editions for a curriculum for electronic prepress and publishing. The complete teacher edition consists of introductory pages, teacher pages, and the student edition. The introductory pages include a training and competency profile; a PrintED crosswalk that identifies the competencies covered in the publication and lists specifically where these skills are located by unit number and objective; an instructional and task analysis; basic skills icons and classifications; a basic skills matrix; and a tools, equipment, and materials list. The teacher pages include suggested activities, answers to assignment sheets and written test, a written test, learning activities sheets, transparency masters, an objective sheet, information sheet, student supplements, assignment sheets, and job sheets. The student edition contains seven units, each covering an objective with evaluation criteria, basic skills, an introduction, instructions, tools, equipment and materials needed, and procedure. The seven units of the curriculum cover the following topics: (1) introduction to prepress; (2) electronic prepress systems; (3) software; (4) type selection; (5) document design; (6) scanning; and (7) layout and document preparation.
