Evaluating Teacher's Perceptions of Technology Use in the K-8 Classroom.

This study analyzes data from a recent survey conducted for a national educational video series to measure teachers' perceptions of the effectiveness of technology, video and Web-based materials. Research questions focused on perceptions of K-12 classroom educators on: the role technology plays in enhancing learning and learning environments; whether technology facilitates the learning of classroom content as aligned with national mathematics and/or science standards; whether the school administration provides adequate support with respect to training in the use of technology for the classroom; and whether school administrators provide adequate support with respect to access to technology in the classroom. Following the introductory section that outlines the background, rationale, and research questions of the study, the paper presents a review of the literature, describes the methodology, and briefly discusses the two phases of analysis.
