Organization, Support and Interaction for Adult Students in Web Courses.
Hudson, Larry
World Wide Web-based college courses offer opportunities for adult students to continue their education and earn a degree if they so desire. The flexibility of this technology allows students to log on and learn whenever they have the time, and the format is often more interactive than traditional classes. Teaching a Web-based class requires instructors to learn along with their students, be very organized, and respond to students' inquiries in a timely manner. For the most part, students are enthusiastic about using the Internet for learning, and even traditional college students living on campuses are requesting Web-based courses. This method of distance learning clearly will play a greater part in education in the future. (KC)
