Drawing on testimonials and case studies, this collection of conference papers describes a variety of professional associations, organizations, and individuals working together for the benefit of our most fragile families and children. The 48 papers are divided into sections that: (1) express the vision at the core of partnerships phenomenon; (2) describe the various consumer groups, including communities, clients, and students, who benefit from the creation of partnerships; (3) detail the partnership dynamics in child welfare and education; (4) examine the roles of colleges and universities in expanded partnerships; (5) identify issues and barriers still requiring attention; (6) communicate how the media and information are vital to expanding and understanding the importance of partnerships; (7) convey public organizational policies that have been adapted to solidify partnerships; and (8) cite international and domestic factors critical to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable families.
