Rowley, James B.; Hart, Patricia M.
This book is designed to be used in conjunction with a training workshop which helps experienced educators meet the unique challenges of mentoring beginning teachers. This book includes copies of all slides, overheads, and other training materials used in the workshop. Six sections offer the 25 modules: (1) "Reflecting on Mentoring," (2) "Knowing the Beginning Teacher," (3) "Adapting Mentoring Practice," (4) "Being the Professional Helper," (5) "Coaching for Classroom Success," and (6) "Exploring the Role of School Administrators." A list of suggested readings is included. (Contains 24 references.) (SM)
