This paper is designed to provide Iowa educators with information on reporting results of assessments of students with disabilities, including grading, diplomas, and transcripts. A question-and-answer format addresses: (1) indication of the provision of reasonable accommodations on students' report cards; (2) honor rolls; (3) pass/fail grading systems; (4) course weighted grading systems; (5) grade reductions due to absence; (6) exclusion from class grading; (7) exclusion from an extracurricular activity based on grade criteria; (8) graduation requirements and diplomas; (9) different diplomas for students with disabilities; (10) certificates of achievement; (11) continuation of services after receiving a certificate of achievement; (12) reflection of curriculum modifications in transcripts; and (13) indication of a modified curriculum on high school transcripts.
