Food for Thought: A Teacher's Resource Guide from Connecticut Ag in the Classroom.

This teacher's manual is arranged according to the four major categories that were identified as being necessary for a good foundation to an agricultural education program. Each section includes background information and activities for classroom use. Activities were designed to assist teachers in developing lesson plans for grades 4, 5, and 6; however, many of the activities can be adapted to other age groups. Activities include: (1) "People and the Environment"; (2) "Change and Continuity"; (3) "Making a Living"; (4) "Agriculture and Technology"; and (5) "Building on the Past--Looking toward the Future."
