Financial Aid Handbook for High School Counselors.

This booklet is intended to supply high school counselors in Oregon with information and forms that will aid in helping high school students obtain financial aid for higher education. It is divided into three parts. The first section, "About Student Financial Aid," provides information on how and when to apply and what happens after the application is received. "Grant and Scholarship Programs Administered by the OSSC" (Oregon State Scholarship Commission), discusses grants funded by the state of Oregon, privately and federally funded scholarships administered by the OSCC, searching for scholarships, and using the Internet to find financial aid sources. The third section, "Federal Student Loan Programs," describes the Federal Family Education Loan Program, including Federal Stafford Loans and Federal PLUS loans as well as the Federal Direct Loan Program.
