How Technology Education Transforms Teachers' Perspectives of Their Profession.

This paper presents research about the relationship between technology education and professional development of teachers and teachers-in-training, and discusses the implications for teachers' professional development. The research method included the use of a four-page survey instrument, follow-up interviews, and journal entries. This paper addresses a review of how educators' perspectives of their profession, work, and worldview changed as a result of learning to use technology for professional and personal purposes. This change is described in terms of perspective transformation learning theory and specific application to the participants' individual contexts. Includes questions for the discussant.
