Sarquis, Mickey, Ed.
This "Ambassador" guide is a product of the Partners for the Advancement of Chemical Technology (PACT) Ambassador program that began in 1995. The purpose of this program is to bring industrial scientists and technicians into high school and two-year college classrooms to expose students and teachers to issues faced in the industrial workplace and laboratory. This guide is meant to provide direction to any industrial scientist or technician, college chemistry instructor, or high school teacher interested in starting such a program. It contains information about PACT, sample Ambassador programs, sample program materials, planning guidelines, a student evaluation, and descriptions of the Ambassador's role, the college facilitator's role, and the teacher's role.
