This conference organizer's guide contains 42 lists of ideas, reminders, things to check, and questions to ask when a person is planning an event such as a conference, workshop, or training session. Written from a British point of view, the guide is organized into four parts in chronological order: preplanning, planning, onsite, and post-conference. Some of the information in the guide includes the following: (1) how to get brochures paid for; (2) how to brief speakers; (3) what to budget for; (4) when to schedule recreation; (5) how to determine room layout; (6) how to control the unforeseen; and (7) what to ask the banquet manager.
