The attitudes, behaviors, practices, and skills of effective school administrators are described in chapter 3. Strategies for dealing with the boards of education, legal issues, and the media are presented in chapters 4-6. Chapter 7 offers suggestions for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting teachers. What educational leaders can do to help teachers do their jobs is the subject of chapter 8. Collective bargaining and strategic and long-term planning in chapters 9 and 10.
