The Teacher Enhancement (TE) program of the National Science Foundation aims to enhance the disciplinary, pedagogical, and leadership skills of science, mathematics, and technology teachers, and to actively involve administrators and others who play significant roles in ensuring a quality education to all students. This publication describes all projects of the Teacher Enhancement program that were active awards as of 1995. Currently TE supports five major categories of projects: (1) local systemic change; (2) teaching enhancement; (3) replication and infrastructure; (4) professional development materials; and (5) professional support for the teaching workforce.
