This report presents information about the racial and gender breakdown of central office and school-level professional personnel in Maryland local education agencies (LEAs) as of October 19, 1995. These data were submitted by LEAs on the Annual Staff Report, which includes all employees except those paid on an hourly basis, daily substitutes, and special contractual employees. Staff members are classified on the basis of their work assignments. These classifications correspond to position codes listed in the "Staff Reporting System Guidelines for Local School Systems in Maryland." Thirty-three tables present information on teachers, administrators, therapists, librarians, guidance counselors, and school psychologists. (SLD)
